Holotype: CM 47683 (formerly UCLA VP 1689)

Locality: In the valley of Arkansas River, NW 1/4, NE 1/4, SW 1/4, Sec. 22, T49N, R10E, near the town of Howard, Fremont County, Central Colorado.

Horizon: Sangre de Cristo Formation.


Age: Probably Missourian, Lower Stephanian, upper Silesian Stage, Kasimovian Epoch? Late Pennsylvanian (Late Carboniferous).

Referred specimens.

CM 47685 (formerly UCLA VP 1691): 3 partially articulated dorsal vertebrae, with many scattered, but some partially articulated, osteoderms on the same small piece of matrix.

CM 47686 (formerly UCLA VP 1692): Many disarticulated vertebrae and osteoderms.
