Locality: 2 1/2 miles south of the mouth of Berry creek, 140 feet (aneroid) above the Red Deer River, Alberta Province, Canada.

Horizon: Dinosaur Park Formation, upper Judith River Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Judithian age, Middle Campanian Stage, middle Senonian subepoch, upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Complete skeleton except predentary, left quadrate, postorbital, and squamosal, dorsal vertebrae, left dorsal ribs, letf ilum, and some distal caudal vertebrae with skin impressions.

Etymology: Latin, latus, “broad, wide”, and Latin, caudal, “tail”.

Holotype: IGM 5843 (formerly LACM 17715)

Locality: LACM loc. 66168, north of Arroyo Del Rosario, Approximate Lat. 30'10"N, Long. 115'40"W, El Rosario, Baja California Del Norte, Baja California State, Mexico.

Horizon: "El Diesacado member" of the "El Gallo Formation".

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Maastrichtian Stage, Uppermost Senonian Subepoch, Uppermost Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.
Material: Left premaxilla, maxilla and jugal, right scapula, coracoid, humerus, 8 cervical and five sacral vertebrae, fragments of 3 dorsal vertebrae, several caudal centra, spinous processes, and part of the haemal arches, several ribs, left and right femora, left ischum and right tibia, right metatarsal III.
