Etymology: Greek, para, “near” and Saurolophus: “Near Saurolophus”.

Species: walkeri PARKS, 1922 (Male)
Etymology:

Holotype: ROM 768 (old GSC 4578)

Locality: Quarry 12, On the middle branch of the coulee below Sand Creek, Red Deer River, elevation of 125 feet (aneroid) above the river, Dinosaur Provincial Park, Newell County, Alberta Province, Canada.

Horizon: Lower Dinosaur Park Formation, upper Judith River Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Judithian age, Middle Campanian Stage, middle Senonian subepoch, upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Skull, dentary and skeleton missing lower legs and tail.
Note: Paleopathology, neural spindes of dorsals V, VI and VII are pathologic (LULL & WRIGHT, 1942).
