Genus: Scolosaurus NOPCSA, 1928
Etymology: Greek, skolos, “spine, thorn”, and Greek, sauros, “lizard”: “thorn lizard”.

Species: cutleri NOPCSA, 1928

Holotype: BMNH R5161

Locality: Happy Jack Ferry, Dead Lodge Canyon, Alberta Province, Canada.

Horizon: Dinosaur Park Formation, upper Judith River Group.


Age: Judithian age, Middle Campanian Stage, middle Senonian subepoch, upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Nearly entire skeleton missing skull and tip of tail.
Note: Skin impressions.
