Genus: Zuul ARBOUR & CURRIE, 2017
Etymology: The generic name refers to Zuul the Gatekeeper of Gozer, a fictional monster from the 1984 file Ghostbusters.

Species: crurivastator ARBOUR & CURRIE, 2017
Etymology: Latin, crus, "shin or shank," and Latin, vastator, "destroyer": In erference to teh sledgehammer-like tail club.

Holotype: ROM 75860

Locality: Approximately 5 km northwest of the John Wodarz Bridge, in badlands exposures outcroping along the north side of the Milk River Drainage near Havre, Section 35, Township 33N, Range 15E, originally designated Theropoda Exp LLC Locality LC02(Q), Hill County, Montana.

Horizon: Coal Ridge Member, Judith River Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Campanian Stage, Late Senonian Subepoch, Late Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Skull, and nearly complete skeleton.
