Etymology: Greek, a- “not, without”, Greek, rhin, “nose, snout” and Greek, kerat- (keras), “horn” and Greek, ops, “face”: “Hornless-snout face”.

Etymology:

Holotype: ROM 796

Locality: Opposite of Neill's ranch and 3 miles above Bleriot Ferry, Red Deer River, Alberta Province, Canada.

Horizon: Horseshoe Canyon Formation, Edmonton Group.
Note: Formerly Member A of the Edmonton Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Edmontonian age, lower Maastrichtian Stage, Upper Senonian subepoch, Upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Skull.
Note: Paleopathology, an extra opening piercing the left squamosal .
