Etymology: In honor of Rinchen Barsbold, Mongolian Paleontologist.

Etymology:

Holotype: ZPAL MgD-I/110

Locality: Northern Sayr, Nemegt, Nemegt Basin, Ömnögov (South Gobi), Mongolia.

Horizon: Nemegt Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Lower Maastrichtian Stage, Uppermost Senonian, Uppermost Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: 9 posterior dorsals, nine coalesced sacrals, fifteen caudals, the left ilium, six of seven thoracic ribs, fragments of tibia and fibula, left metatarsals III and IV, phalanx 3 and the ungual of the third pedal digit, several fragments of dorsal and caudal neural spines, and fragments of the left and right pubis, fragments of ossified tendons.
Note: Paleopathology? Anterior caudal neural spines have a clubbing or swelling similar to pathologic hadrosaur neural spines from Dinosaur Provincial Park (TANKE & ROTHSCHILD, 2002).
