Etymology: Greek, chasma, “wide opening, chasm” and Greek, sauros, “lizard”: “opening lizard”.

Material:

ROM 5499 (renumbered 843): Skull and complete skeleton.
Note: Paleopathology, frill has an extra ‘hole’ (TANKE & FARKE, 2003, 2006), right and left mani are pathologic (REGA & HOLMES, 2006), and rib pathologies (TANKE & ROTHSCHILD, 2010).

Etymology:
= Chasmosaurus russelli STERNBERG, 1940 (sic)

Holotype: CMN (NMC) 8800

Locality: NE 1/4, sec. 21, T2, R4, W of 4th Meridian, about 17 1/2 miles south and 9 miles east of Manyberries, Forty Mile County, Alberta Province, Canada.

Horizon: Dinosaur Park Formation, upper Judith River Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Judithian age, Middle Campanian Stage, middle Senonian subepoch, upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Skull, the anterior part of the rostral, the distal half of left jugal, right jugal, quadrate an squamosal and a little of the right edge were destroyed by erosion.

Note: Paleopathology has a deformed frontal and nasals, which, in turn altered the nasal horncore shape.

Etymology: In reference to Irvine, Alberta, near where the type was found.

Locality: Dinosaur Provincial Park, 4.2 km southwest of Irvine, NE ¼ section 23, T11, R3, west of the 4th meridian, Alberta Province, Canada.

Horizon: Upper Dinosaur Park Formation, upper Judith River Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Judithian age, Middle Campanian Stage, middle Senonian subepoch, upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Fragmentary skull and fragmentary skeleton.
Note: Paleopathology, orbital horn core resorption pits, an extra fontanelle affecting the right squamosal. Also right first metacarpus an dproximal pollical phalanx is pathologic (REGA & HOLMES, 2006)
