Etymology: In honor of Charles Sternberg.

Species: rugosidens (GILMORE, 1930 ) OLSHEVSKY, 1991

Holotype: USNM 11868

Locality: Sec. 16, T. 37N, R8W, Milk River, Blackfeet Indian Reservation, Glacier County, Montana.

Horizon: Two Medicine Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Judithian age, Campanian Stage, Senonian subepoch, Upper Gulf epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Skull and fragmentary skeleton with armor.
Note: Paleopathology, slightly injured right premaxilla with a distinctive notch with healed bone showieng rounded edges and a fusion of 2 caudal vertebrae from the anterior half of the tail and would have given the animal a ‘kink’ in it’s tail.

Note: The scutes show some pathological traces possibly due to a predator.
