Etymology: Latin, testaceus (-um), of animals, covered with shell, and latin,
semi, 'half'.
Holotype: IVPP V 13240
Locality: Guanling, Guizhou Province, Southwestern China.
Horizon: Wayao Member, Falang Formation.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Carnian Stage, Lower Late Triassic Epoch, Late Triassic.
Material: Skull and skeleton of a nearly complete specimen.
Note: Both humeri shows avascular necrosis (ROTHSCHILD & NAPLES, 2015)
