Locality: Location R4701 of Matsumoto et al, (1982), the middle steam of the Obirashibe River, Northwestern Hokkaido Island, Japan.

Age: Lower Santonian Stage, Senonian Subepoch, Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material:

Obira specimen 1: 8 centra, 6 ribs, 19 gastralia, humeri, 3 carpi and 11 phalanges.

Note: The jaws of the Vampyromorpha Provampyroteuthis giganteus are in the gut area.

Material:

QMF30037: A partially articulated torso with associated limb elements.

Note: Stomach contents are remains of many benthic invertebrates, predominatly bivalve shell fragments but also remains of gastropods and pieces of crinoids, belemninte endoskeletons and a telost plate.

Note: 35 gastroliths.
