Genus: Minmi MOLNAR, 1960
Etymology: In reference to the Minmi Crossing, near the site of discovery, “minmi” seems to be of Aboriginal origin, but uncertain meaning, either being a corruption of Min Min (a kind of will-o-the-wisp light), or referring to a large lily (Reed, 1967).

Locality: Found on a low ridge south of the Flinders River near Richmond, Queensland State, Australia.

Horizon: Allaru Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Albian Stage, Middle Gallic Subepoch, Upper Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.

Material:

QM F18101: Skull and nearly complete skeleton with armor.
Note: Plant remains have been found in the gut region (MOLNAR & CLIFFORD, 2000, 2001).
