Genus: Thalattosuchus YOUNG, BRIGNON, SACHS, HORNUNG, FOFFA, KITSON, JONHSON & STEEL, 2020
Etymology: "Sea crocodile," given that the species superciliosus is perhaps the best-known thalattosuchian it is fitting that the genus be establised for this species.
