Ichnogenus: Mandaodonites CRUICKSHANK, 1986
Etymology: From the Manda Formation, Songea District, Southern Province, Tanzania.

Ichnospecies: coxi CRUICKSHANK, 1986
Etymology: In honour of Professor C. B. Cox, who has worked extensivly on teh Manda fauna and for his incisive contributions to vertebrate palaeontology.

Holotype: T1225

Locality: Locality 328, between the M'himbasi and N'datira Rivers, east of the mission at Litumba, Songea District, Southern Province, Tanzania.

Horizon: Manda Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Anasian Stage, Lower Mid Triassic Epoch, Middle Triassic.

Material: Toothmarks on a dicynodont right femur.

Note: Referred to the family Rauisuchidae.
