Etymology:

Holotype: CNHM UR 495

Locality: Kahn Quarry, Locality KAC, Driver Ranch, Knox County, Texas.

Horizon: Flowerpot Member, Upper San Angelo Formation, Lower Pease River Group.

Biostratigraphy: Land-vertebrate faunachron lower E.

Age: Lower Guadalupian Stage, Upper Rotliegendes Epoch, Early Permian.

Material: Fragmentary skull, and 4 teeth.

Paratype:

CNHM UR 574: Part of maxillary and premaxillary bones with canine and 2 postcanine teeth.

Note: SIGOGNEAU-RUSSELL, 1989 does not think its a therapsida but possibly an Eousuchian.
