Etymology: Latin, agilis, "agile, nimble, quick."
Holotype: FMNH UR 986
Locality: From lower red shale at locality BC-8, approximately 3 miles north of Hitchcok, Blaine County, Oklahoma.
Horizon: Chickasha Formation.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Guadalupian subepoch, Lower Zechstein Epoch, Early Late Permian.
Material: Skull, lower jaws, skeleton including vertebra, 27 presacral, 2 sacral, 10 caudal, and ribs, shoulder girdles and forelimbs and feet, lacking pelvis and hind limb, abdominal ribs present.
