Genus: Adamanasuchus LUCAS, HUNT & SPIELMANN, 2007
= Adamanasuchus (Anonymous, 1983) (nomen nudum, in Arizona Highways, February, 1983)
Etymology: In reference to Adamana, Petrified Forest National Monument, Apache County, Arizona, and Greek, suchos, "crocodile."

Species: eisenhardtae LUCAS, HUNT & SPIELMANN, 2007
Etymology: In honor of Gae Eisenhardt, for her support of the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science.

Holotype: PEFO 34638

Locality: Gobstopper Hill Locality (PFV 263), Petrified Forest National Monument, Apache County, Arizona.

Horizon: Upper Blue Mesa Member just below the base of the Sonsela Member, Petrified Forest Formation, Chinle Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Adamanian, Early to Middle Norian Stage, Late Triassic Epoch, Late Triassic.

Material: 9 nearly complete dorsal paramedian osteoderms, 2 incomplete paramedian osteoderms, 1 lateral osteoderm, 2 anterior caudal vertebral centra, 1 posterior caudal vertebral centrum, and 1 incomplete right femur.
