Genus: Aetobarbakinoides DESOJO, EZCURRA & KISCHLAT, 2012
Etymology: Greek, aetobarbakina (long-legged buzzard, vulgar name of the falconiform Buteo rufinus), and Latin, oides, "form"; which referes to the elongated humerus and tibia in relation to the axial skeleton and the Gree workd aetos (eagle), which referes to the name Aetosaurus (eagle reptile). The specific name is derived from the country Brazil from which the holotype specimen was discovered.

Age: Early Carnian Stage-Earliest Norian Stage, Late Triassic Epoch, Late Triassic.

Material: Partial postcranium including cervical vertebra 5 or 6 with its corresponding right and left proximal end of ribs, articulated series including cervical 9 and dorsals 1-9, one almost complete left ceervical rib 9 and some fragmentary dorsal ribs, 1 anterior caudal vertebra, right scapula, right humerus, probable distal end of right femur, right tibia, right distal tasa IV, proximal half of right metatarsal I, right humerus, probable distal metatarsal IV lacking its proximal end, proximal half of metatarsal V, right pedal phalanx IV-1, anterior and mid-dorsal paramedian osteoderms, and some associated paramedian osteoderms.
