Etymology:

Holotype: UMMP 100336

Locality: Near Otis Chalk, about 20 miles southeast of Big Springs, Howard County ,Texas.

Horizon: “Pre-Tecovas Horizon”, Dockum Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Middle Carnian Stage, Lower Late Triassic Epoch, Late Triassic.

Material: Skull.

Topotype: UMMP 10336A: Lower jaw.
Note: Found several hundred meters for 10336, probably belong to the same individual.
Note: LONG & MURRY, 1995, refer Brachysuchus megalodon to Angistorhinus megalodon.
