Etymology: Latin, recurved, and latin, dens, "tooth."
Holotype: GSN F382
Locality: Omingonde River, Otjozondjupa region, Namibia.
Horizon: Uppermost Omingonde Formation.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Ladinian Stage, Late Mid Triassic Epoch, Late Middle Triassic-Carnian Stage, Late Triassic Epoch, Late Triassic.
Material: Skull, axial column (except for sacral and posterior caudal vertebrae), osteoderms, scapulocoracoid and fragments of both humeri.
