Etymology:

Holotype: PVL 3525

Locality: Cabecera del Rio Manero, km 126, Provincial Route 26, La Rioja Province, Argentina.

Note: Erroneously cited as Quebrada de los Jachaleros, El Salto, San Juan by Caselli et al, 2001, Arucci et al, 2004, as per DESOJO & BAEZ, 2007

Horizon: Upper part of the Los Colorados Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Early Revueltian, Norian Stage, Upper Late Triassic Epoch, Late Triassic.

Material: Fragmentary premaxilla, fragmentary maxilla, dentary and teeth, scapula, dorsal, sacral, and caudal vertebrae, pelvis, dorsal armor, humerus, ulna and radius, femur, tibia and fibula, astragalus
and calcanum, pes.

Paratype:

PVL 3528: Fragmentary premaxilla and maxilla with teeth, vertebrae and osteoderms.

PVL 3842: Incomplete dorsal an dventral armours, and vertebrae preserved as impressions.
