Etymology: In honor of John Weaver Pallister OBE (1912-1985).

Etymology: In reference to the Ruhuhu Basin, from which the type specimen and other taxa from the Manda Beds were collected.

Etymology: Latin, angustus, "narrow" and Latin, mentum, "chin."

Locality: Field locality U11/2, Ruhuhu valley, southwestern Tanzania, Tanganyika, East Africa.

Horizon: Liufa Member, Manda Formation.

Note: Correlated with subzone C of the Cynognathus Assemblage Zone of the Beaufort Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Latest Anisian Stage, Lower Mid Triassic Epoch, Middle Triassic.

Material: Premaxillae, maxillae, vomers, palatines, pterygoids, ectopterygoids and fragments of jugals and basipterygoid, with associated hemimandibles, hyoides and isolated maxillary or dentary teeth. atlantal intercentrum, partial axis and partial third cervical vertebra, a mostly complete left manus, and additional poorly preserved fragments.
