Genus: Ardeadactylus BENNETT, 2013
Etymology: From Ardea meaning "heron" and the name of the genus of herons and Greek, dactylus, "finger," a common component of pteroaur names; th ename is intedt to refer to the presumed heron-like (i.e., long necked long-legged piscovore) character of this pterosaur.
