lizard" and Greek, daktylus, 'finger'; commonly used suffex for pterodactyloids.

Holotype: MN 7596-V
Locality: Near the quarries of Nova Olinda city, Ceara State, northeastern Brazil.
Horizon: Crato Formation.

Age: Aptian-Albian Stage, Middle Gallic Subepoch, Late Early Cretaceous Epoch, Latest Early Cretaceous.
Material: Nearly complete mandible.
