Etymology:
Nhaneca, epapatelo, "wing". The nhaneca (Nyaneka) are the indigenous nomadic group wiho originate in Angola's Namibe Province (the reigon of the fossils' loclaity).

Etymology: Nhaneca, otyikokolo, "lizard."
Holotype: MGUAN-PA650
Locality: Region of the north of the Bentiaba River, near the commune of Bentiaba, Mocamedes Municipality, Namibe Province, Angolia.
Horizon: Upper portion of the Mucuio Formation.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Lower Maastrichtian Stage, Late Senonian Subepoch, Late Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.
Material: Distal half of a left humerus, articulated left ulna.
Paratype:
MGUAN-PA551: Articulated luft ulna and left radius.
