Etymology: The genus formed by the combination of Europe + Tapejara, the internal specifier of the Tapejarinae.

Etymology: In honor of the Olcades, Province of Cuenca, Spain, Celtiberians who were the first inhabitants of the Cuenca region.

Holotype: MCCM-LH 9413

Locality: Las Hoyas fossil site, La Cierva Township, , 20 km east of Cuenca, in the Castellan Branch of the Iberian Range, Province of Cuenca, Spain.

Horizon: Calizas de La Huerguina Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Upper Hauterivian Stage, Late Neocomian subepoch-Lower Barremian Stage, Early Gallic subepoch, Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.

Material: Jaws and post-orbital elements of the skull preserved in part and counterpart.
