Etymology: In reference to the Serra da Gala Formation and the Gala hill, and Latin, draco, "dragon", a common suffix used to designate pterosaurs.

Etymology: From Zephuros, the personification of the west wind in Ancient Greek mythology.

Holotype: CPPLIP 1853

Locality: Serra da Gala Geosite, a roacut located at kilometere 153 of the BR-050 highway, c. 25 km north of Uberaba City, 19°35'32.8"S, 48°01'42"W, Minas Gerias State, Brazil.

Horizon: Serra da Gala Formation, Bauru Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Late Maastrichtian Stage, Late Senonian Subepoch, Late Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: A tridimensiona, partial rostrum fragment.
