Species: gracilis WANG & LU, 2001
Etymology: Latin, gracilis, "slender." The species name reflects both the beautiful
preservation and the
tiny metatarsals of the holotype.

Locality: Locality 1 at Sihetun, Shangyuan, Beipiao, western Liaoning Province, China.
Horizon: Jiangshangou Member, Yixian Formation, Jehol Group.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Barremain Stage, Lower Gallic Subepoch, Lower Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.
Material: A nearly complete skeleton that contains a complete skull and pectral girdle, forelmbs, sternum, cervical, dorsal and metatarsals and digits.
