Genus: Prejanopterus VIDARTE & CALVO, 2010
Etymology: The generic name is a combination between the name of the village
where it was discovered, Prejano, La Rioja Province, Spain, and Greek, ptero-, pteron, "wing."
Species: curvirostris (VIDARTE & CALVO, 2010) emend PEREDA-SUBERBIOLA,
KNOLL, RUIZ-OMENACA, COMPANY & TORCIDA FERNANDEZ-BALDOR, 2012 (Type)
Note: Pereda-Suberbiola, et al., (2012) emended the species ending from the feminine
ending to the masculine ending, in accordance to the masculine genus name. They
followed ICZN Article 34.2 to change the species name.

Age: Lower Aptian Stage, Middle Gallic Subepoch, Upper Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.
Material: Fragment of rostrum, mandible, quadrate, quadratojugal, distal condyle,
left ilium, ischium, pubis, femur, distal fragment of tibia, and fragment of
first phalanx of manual digit IV.
