Note: There are round compression fractures on the phalanx which are consistent with tooth impacts. Meyer & Hunt suggest the tooth marks were made during scavenging of the pterosaur carcass. A possible scavenger is the large mesosuchain aquatic crocodile Machimosaurus, which is known to have fed on marine turtles (Meyer, 1994).
