Etymology: Tupuxuara, a male familiar sprit (house-hold servant) in the Tupi culture.

Etymology: Latin, dr, "crazy" and Latin, adamas, "diamond" ; referring to the distinctive, angular profile of the nasoantorbital fenestra in this taxon.

Locality: Santana do Cariri region, southern Ceara State, Brazil.
