Etymology: In honor of the eminent Russian paleontologist A. P. Bystrow for
his contributions to vertebrate palaeontology.

Etymology: In honor of the Schumann family for their engagement in securing
fossils from Lower Keuper.
Note: The authors incorrectly coined the species name as -i, when honoring
more than one family or person, the correct ending is -orum)

Locality: Vellberg limestone quarry(Schumann Quarry), near Schwäbisch Hall, northern Baden-Württemberg State, Southern Germany.
Horizon: Top of Untere Graue Mergel (bed 6 of Schoch, 2002), Lower Keuper, Erfurt Formation.
