Genus: Makowskia KLEMBARA, 2005
Etymology: In honor of Prof. Alexander Makowsky, professor at the former German Technical University in Brno (Czech Republic). He was the first to describe the first specimens of discosauriscids from teh Boskovice Furrow in Moravia (Czech Republic) discovered near the town of Mala Lhota in 1872.

Species: laticephala KLEMBARA, 2005
Etymology: Latin, latus, "broad" and Greek, kefale, "head"; Broad head.

Holotype: SNMZ 26506

Locality: Boskovice Furrow, Kochov-L, about 500 m NE of the village Kochov (near city Letovice), Moravia, Czech Republic.

Horizon: Bacov horizon.

Biostratigraphy: Zone 6.

Age: Lower Saxonian, Early Permian.

Material: Skull and anterior portion of postcranial skeleton.
