Genus: Libonectes CARPENTER, 1997
Etymology: Greek, masculine gender, libo, “southwest wind” and Greek, nektes, “swimmer”, alluding to the American Southwest where the holotype was found.

Locality: Andy Anderson farm near Cedar Hill, Dallas County, Texas.

Horizon: Britton Formation, Uppermost Eagle Ford Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Turonian Stage, Uppermost Gallic Subepoch, Lower Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Skull, 62 cervical vertebrae, pectrum, and other fragments.
Note: Found with about 70 gastroliths.

Etymology: Latin, from the north African Atlas (Mountain Range)

Holotype: SMNK-PAL 3978

Locality: North of Goulmima, Errachida Province, Morocco.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Lower Turonian Stage (Unit 4 of the Cenomanian-Turonian limestone bar), Uppermost Gallic Subepoch, Lower Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Fragmentary skull and skeleton lacking both right limbs distal to the propodials, parts of the left limbs and the terminal caudal vertebrae.
