Species: ragei VULLO, 2019,
Etymology: In honor of Vullo's late friend and colleague Jean-Claude Rage, who first suggested that the material studied may belong to Lapparentophis, and in recognition of his innumberable and invaluable contributions to palaeoherpetology and palaeobiogeography.

Holotype: MHNM.KK387

Locality: El Begaa locality near Taouz, Kasr-es Souk Province, southeastern Morocco.

Horizon: Kem Kem beds, Ifezouane Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Albian Stage, Middle Gallic Subepoch, Late Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous-early Cenomanian Stage, Middle Gallic Subepoch, Lower Gulf Epoch, Middle Cretaceous.
