Locality: ‘La Buitrera’ fossil quarry, Cerro Policia, Rio Negro Province, Northwest Patagonia, Argentina.
Horizon: Upper layers Candeleros Formation, Lower Rio Limay Subgroup, Lower Neuquen Group.

Age: Limayan Tetrapoda Assemblage, Cenomanian Stage, Uppermiddle Gallic Subepoch,
Lowermost Gulf Epoch, Late Early or Middle Cretaceous-Turonian Stage, Uppermost
Gallic Subepoch, Lower Gulf Epoch, Early Late Cretaceous.
Material: Skull, dentary and a partially articulated skeleton of an adult.
Referred material:
MPCA 301: Incomplete skeleton of a juvenile.
MPCA 302: Postcranial isolated remains.
MPCA 303: A partially articulated adult skeleton.

Species: minimus APESTEGUIA & CABALLIDO, 2015
Etymology: Latin, minimus, "small"; In reference to the small size of this species when compared with
any other eilenodontine, especially in comparison with Priosphenodon avelasi.
Holotype: MPEF-PV 3166
Locality: Tres Cerros locality, about 70 km northeast from Los Altares, Cubut Province, central Patagonia, Argentina.
Horizon: Upper part of the La Paloma Member, upper layers of the Candeleros Formation.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Cenomanian Stage, Uppermiddle Gallic Subepoch, Lowermost Gulf Epoch, Late Early or Middle Cretaceous.
Material: An almost complete skull and attached jaws.
Referred material:
Locality: Huaniman Locality, 11 km northwest of the type locality, Cubut Province, central Patagonia, Argentina.
Horizon: Upper part of the La Paloma Member, upper layers of the Candeleros Formation.
