Etymology: In honor of paleozoologist and professor of Saratov State University, Vitalii Georgievich Ochev.

Holotype: PIN 1579/53

Locality: Berdyanka I, near Mikhailovka village, right tributary of the Berdyanka River (Drainage basin of left bank of the Ural River), 3.4 km S of Berdyanka River, Sol-Iletsk district, Orenburg region, southern Cis-Urals, European Russia.

Horizon: Donguz Svita, Donguz Gorizont.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Muschelkalk, Anisian Stage, Lower Mid Triassic Epoch, Middle Triassic.

Material: Fragmentary skull.
