Genus: Isengops SIDOR, TABOR & SMITH, 2021
Etymology: Bemba word, isengo,"horn" and Greek, ops, "face." In allusion to the tall, triangular supraorbital bosses.

Species: luangwensis SIDOR, TABOR & SMITH, 2021
Etymology: in reference to the geographic area of origin, Luangwa River Valley, Zambia, and Latin, ensis, "from or belonging too."

Holotype: NHCC LB363

Locality: L322, Near the southern border of North Luangwa Natinoal Park, Muchinga Province, Zambia.

Horizon: Upper Madumabisa Mudstone, Formation.

Biostratigraphy: Correlates to the Cistecephalus zone.

Age: Wuchiapingian, Tatarian Age, Lopingian Subepoch, Zechstein Epoch, Late Permian.

Material: An isolated skull lacking most of the occiput, both zygomatic arches, the left temporal region, and the tip of the snout, as well as missing the lower jaws entirely.
