Etymology: Greek, parvus, "petite."
Holotype: AMNH 9548
Locality: Kitching Ridge, About 5 m above the confluence of this glacier with McGregor Glacier, at about latitude 85'3"S and longitiude 177'06W, vicinity of Shackleton Glacier, which is about 225 km, east by south of Coalsack Bluff, Queen Maud Mountains, East Antarctica, Antarctica.
Horizon: Fremouv Formation.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: Anisian Stage, Lower Mid Triassic Epoch, Early Middle Triassic.
Material: Fragmentary skull with mandible and associated with right and left
femora and tibiae.
