Etymology: In honor of Miss Jessie Jack, who found the specimen.

Holotype:

Locality: Brakfontein, Victoria West District, Northern Cape Province, South Africa.

Horizon:

Biostratigraphy: Cistecephalus zone.

Age: Tatarian Age, Lopingian Subepoch, Zechstein Epoch, Late Permian.

Material: Skull, dentary and fairly complete skeleton, missing the feet.
