Etymology: In reference to the Boulia townships, central-northern Queensland State, Australia, the most productive locality for this taxon, and Greek, chelys, "turtle."

Species: suterorum emend KEAR & LEE, 2006
Etymology: In honor of Richard and Jon Suter who discovered many of the specimens.
