Etymology:

Holotype: DNM 986-991

Locality: Quarry face as exposed inside the Dinosaur National Monument Visitor Center, Carnegie Quarry, Vernal, Uintah County, Utah.

Horizon: Brushy Basin Member, Morrison Formation.

Biostratigraphy: Zone 3.

Age: Upper Part, Comobluffian age, Kimmeridgian Stage, uppermost Malm Epoch, Late Jurassic.

Material: Complete shell with associated postcranial elements, still in the matrix with the shell and both pelvis, right humerus and scapula, and left (?) coracoid, about 12 caudal vertebrae, right digits I-V, right tibia, 2 sacral (?) vertebrae, complete left foot, left femur, left tibia and fibula.
