Etymology: In reference Lingyuan City, Lingyuan County, Western Liaoning Province, China the type locality.

Holotype: PMOL AR00211

Locality: Near Liuligou, Sihedang Township, Lingyuan City, Lingyuan County, Western Liaoning Province, China.

Horizon: Jiufotang Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Aptian Stage, Middle Gallic Subepoch, Late Early Cretaceous.

Material: Nearly complete skull and skeleton.

Note: It has hyperphalangy in pedal digit V.

PMOL-AR00214: A nearly complete skeleton with the posterior half of carapace slightly deformed.
