Genus: Judithemys PARHAM & HUTCHINSON, 2003
Etymology: Judith, for the Campanian Judith River Group of North America, from which the holotype and all referred specimens are known, and Greek, emys, "turtle."

Species: sukhanovi PARHAM & HUTCHINSON, 2003
Etymology : In honor of Dr. Vladimir B. Sukhanov, who coined the term Macrobaenidae, and for his expertise on macrobaenids adn other fossil turtle.

Holotype: RTMP 87.2.1

Locality: Dinosaur Provincial Park, Newell County, Alberta Province, Canada.

Horizon: Dinosaur Park Formation, upper Judith River Group.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Judithian age, Middle Campanian Stage, middle Senonian subepoch, upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: A nearly complete but partily crushed skeleton lacking only the manus and a few partial phalanges.
