Latin, limen, "threshold" and Latin, dorsum, "back"; referring to the surface
of the shell.

Locality: Rudersberg, Baden-Wurttemberg State, Germany.
Horizon: Löwenstein Formation.
Biostratigraphy:
Age: ?Lower or Middle Norian Stage, Late Triassic Epoch, Late Triassic.
Material: A natural mould of the visceral surface of costals, with bone tissue remaining in some sections (fragments of the areas of the cervical scute and vertebrals I-V, left marginals I-IV, and first and fragment of the second left pleural, whole fourth right pleural, fragment of the first left supramarginal), and most of the plastron (excluding the anteriormost and posteriormost parts, and the bridge region).
