Genus: Kimurachelys BRINKMAN, DENSMORE, RABI, RYAN, & EVANS, 2015
Etymology: In honor of Marilyn Kimura, who, through her work leading to the development of a collections policy for the Historical Resources division of the Department of Culture and Tourism, has ensured that the heritage collections in the province will be treated with the highest possible standards, and Greek, chelys, "turtle."

Etymology: In honor of Wendy Sloboda, a respected friend and colleague, and a prolific collector, who discovered both the holotype and paratype specimens as well as many other significant fossils from Alberta and throught her discoveries, has increased our understanding of the fossil record of the province.

Holotype: RTMP 2010.85.17

Locality: Sage Creek area, southeast of Manyberries, Forty Mile County, Alberta Province, Canada.

Horizon: Upper Dinosaur Park Formation, upper Judith River Group.

Biostratigraphy: Lethbridge Coal Zone.

Age: Judithian age, Middle Campanian Stage, middle Senonian subepoch, upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Mandible, left coronoid, and partial left angular.

Note: Found with an Elasmosaur skeleton (RTMP 2009.37.68).

Paratype:

Localty: About 6.5 km northeast of Onefour, Cypress County, Southeastern Alberta Province, Canada.

Horizon: Upper Dinosaur Park Formation, upper Judith River Group.

Biostratigraphy: Lethbridge Coal Zone.

Age: Judithian age, Middle Campanian Stage, middle Senonian subepoch, upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material:

RTMP 2012.39.24: Mandible, left coronoid, adn isolated articulars.
