Etymology: Greek, leios, "smooth," and Greek, chelys, "turtle."

Species: tokaryi BRINKMAN, LIBKE, McKELLAR, GASILOV & SOMERS, 2022
Etymology: In honor of Tim Tokaryk, in recognition of his contribution to the paleontology of the Frenchman Formation.

Holotype: RSM P3328.2

Locality: "Site B" (RSM site 28769), just outside Grasslands Natinoal Park East Block, Southern Saskatchewan Province, Canada.

Horizon: Frenchman Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Late Maastricthain Stage, Late Senonian Subepoch, Late Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Skull, skeleton and nearly complete shell.
