Material: Nearly complete shell with corresponding hyoplastra..

MOZP (Museo “Prof. Dr. Olsacher” Zapala) 2487: Posterior portion of the cranium, axial and appendicular skeleton, carapace and plastron, 4 anterior vertebrae, right humerus, left radius, ulna, manus, right femur, left tibia and tarsus of a single individual.

Horizon: Vaca Muerta Formation.

Species: zapatocaensis RUEDA & GAFFNEY, 2005
Etymology: In reference to Zapatoca, Department of Santander, Colombia, near where the specimen was found.

Holotype: MGJRG IPN 15-EAC 140120031

Locality: El Caucho Farm, 73°15'W, 6°49'N, northeast of Ciudad de Zapatoca, Department of Santander, Colombia.

Horizon: Upper part of the Rosablanca Formation.

Biostratigraphy: Synoceras verrucosum Ammonid zone.

Age: Valangian Stage, Neocomian Subepoch, Lower Early Cretaceous Epoch, Early Cretaceous.

Material: A carapace and posterior part of plastron.

Paratype: MGJRG IPN 15-EAC 150620062: Articulated carapace and plastron, missing the right posterolateral portion of carapace.

MGJRG IPN 15-EAC 15962962: A partial central portion of a carapace including neurals 2-8, the most medial portion of costals 2-7, and an isolated medial portion of the left costal 8 that preerves an iliac scar.

Etymology: In reference to the city where this turtle was found, Tlaxiaco, Oaxaca, Mexico.

Locality: Llano Yosobe, 17°15'17.53.3"N, 97°42'4.33"W and 17°14'45.71"N, 97°42'20.24"W, Yosobe site, near Tlaxiaco Town, Oaxaca State, Mexico.

Horizon: Sabinal Formation.

Bisotratigraphy:

Age: Kimmeridigian Stage, Malm Epoch, Late Jurassic.

Material: Partially preserved shell, including both the partial carapace and plastron.
