Genus: Ocepechelon BARDET, JALIL, LAPPARENT de BRION, GERMAIN, LAMBERT, & AMAGHZAZ, 2013
Etymology: In reference to the OCP, acronym for the Groupe Office Cherifen des Phosphates, the mining company exploiting phosphatic deposites of Morocco, and Greek, chelone, "turtle."

Etymology: In honor of Mr. Baadi Bouya, engineer geologist, head of the OCP Geological Survey in Khouribga, for his help during our fieldwork.

Holotype: OCP DEK/GE 516

Locality: Trench 2, N32°39,516', W06°38,280', Sidi Chennane area, SE part of the Oulad Abdoun Basin, Khouribga Province, Morocco.

Horizon: Phosphatic deposites, base of the Upper Level III (ULIII).

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Upper Maastrichtian Stage, Upper Senonian Subepoch, Upper Gulf Epoch, Late Cretaceous.

Material: Nearly complete skull.
