Etymology: In honor of Prof. Dr. Carl Wiman (1867-1944) of the University of Uppsala (Sweden).

Holotype: IVPP V709

Locality: Unknown, found during the constriction of the Chengtu-Chungking Railway from either an unspecified locality along the railway route or during constriction of a building in Tatienwan, Near Chonging (Chungking), Sichuan (Szechwan) Province, China.
